Music

At All Saints CofE Primary School we are very proud of our music tradition.

All children in the school have regular music lessons throughout the year, with each child having the opportunity to sing and play percussion instruments in their weekly music lessons. We have a weekly singing assembly in school where pupils are taught hymns which they sing in church during our half-termly special services. We regularly have special visitors come in and do work with our pupils as part of their music curriculum too including local music charities BSharp and Sonopera. 

We offer private 1:1 music lessons during school time in guitar and piano with our brilliant peripatetic teachers Simon and Grania. All pupils have the opportunity to showcase what they have learnt in guitar concerts and piano recitals. We are also now a Rocksteady school where pupils can begin to learn band instruments (electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboard or vocals) as part of a group.

Our All Saints musicians have also come together for one-off musical ensemble projects and choir trips and have performed at Exeter Cathedral, Axe Valley Academy and The Devon County show.
