Subject Leader - Mrs Claire Petts

At All Saints, we are determined to develop children’s experience of language acquisition and encourage curiosity about languages, beginning with English. In Key Stage 2, we aim to develop their understanding of what they hear and read and have an ability to express themselves in speech and writing within another language. We follow the National Curriculum using a programme (Twinkl scheme of learning) designed to extend their knowledge of how language works and explore differences between French and English and ensures progression of all skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing), knowledge and vocabulary.
