Last Saturday saw the successful running of the first PTFA Dog Show. There were activities on offer for all – face painting, glitter tattoos, a bouncy castle, cakes, ice-creams, a BBQ, colouring and ‘Spot the Dog’ competitions. As for dogs, there were lots of different classes to enter them into including best trick, waggiest tail and naughtiest dog! We were blessed with the sunshine as the dog classes began and there were many entries in each of the categories meaning judging them was no mean feat! The event has again raised money that will go back into the school for the children. Things like this take a lot of time and planning so I’d like to thank Mrs Dunkley who was the main ‘dog show director’, the PTFA, our parent helpers, volunteers from the village, Fran Wood, Mrs Levan who kindly supported the event as the official first aider and Mrs Wilson who did a fantastic job of providing the commentary for the day. The event was jointly supported by Coombefield Vets and our main judges on the day were JJ van Dijk and Donna Mace from the surgery and Katrina so again, thanks goes to them for their time and involvement.
